Sunnyside Games wird am 27. Januar 2026 eine Demo-Version auf dem PC via Steam zu Nocturnal 2 veröffentlichen. Rund eine Stunde lang soll euch die Demo unterhalten. Was euch darin erwartet, seht ihr in folgendem Trailer.
“Nocturnal 2 is our first fully self funded title. It was, and still is, a risky move, but it gave us the time and creative freedom to work on a game that we feel is more complete and polished than the first installment.To reach the level of quality we are aiming for, the road ahead remains long, and player feedback is essential. We are looking forward to having players explore this first introduction to the city of Ytash,” says Gabriel Sonderegger, co director of the game.

Fortsetzung offiziell angekündigt
Sunnyside Games hat Nocturnal 2 offiziell angekündigt. Die Fortsetzung des 2D Metroidvanias soll noch in 2025 auf PC (Steam) und für die Nintendo Switch erscheinen.
Um das Rätsel der Stadt Ytash zu lösen, müssen die Spieler die verstreuten Verse eines vergessenen Gedichts bergen und die Flammen durch die ganze Stadt tragen. Dabei müssen sie alles auf ihrem Weg wieder entzünden – von ruhenden Maschinen bis hin zu uralten Schreinen – und sich durch Hindernisse und Feinde hindurchbrennen.
“We were pleased with the reception to Nocturnal, but wanted to do more with the series,” said Sunnyside Games co-founder Gabriel Sonderegger. “This time we’re expanding the scope into a full-blown Metroidvania, full of non-linear gameplay, secrets, all new enemies, and an expanded arsenal of fire-based abilities.”
