Mit einem neuen Trailer haben Elden Pixels und der Publisher Acclaim den Release von The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest fixiert. Das Metroidvania erscheint somit am 10. Februar 2026 auf dem PC via Steam und für die Nintendo Switch. Den dazugehörigen Launch-Trailer findet ihr auf YouTube.
“We put very little thought into marketing viability and a lot of thought into making ourselves laugh,” said Mikael Forslind, co-founder and CEO of Elden Pixels. “Releasing a game is always an anxiety rollercoaster, but this is our fourth time around, so I’m mostly excited to see how people react. And, after all, a few local craft beers usually help smooth out the launch day nerves.”

Der Indie-Entwickler Elden Pixels hat mit The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest sein neues Spiel angekündigt. Das Metroidvania soll 2024 für PC (Steam) und Konsolen erscheinen und hält eine spannende Prämisse parat.
Am Rande eines physischen und emotionalen Burnouts in den letzten Phasen eines intensiven Spieleprojekts flüchtet sich ein Spieleentwickler in eine Traumfigur, die selbst in einem mentalen Gefängnis gefangen ist. Wir betreten die Gedanken von Fletcher, der Traumfigur des Entwicklers, der zufällig ein leicht übergewichtiger, 43-jähriger geschiedener, kämpfender Honky-Tonk-Musiker, Craft-Beer-Enthusiast und Vater von zwei Kindern ist. Unsere Aufgabe ist es nun ihn aus seinem mentalen Gefängnis zu befreien.
