Der Entwickler Over The Moon und der Publisher Coatsink werden The Last Hero Of Nostalgaia am 20. Juni 2023 nun auch für Nintendo Switch, PS4 und PS5 veröffentlichen. Zeitgleich wird auch das DLC „The Rise of Evil“ erscheinen, natürlich auch für PC und die XBox-Plattformen. Die Erweiterung bringt mit „Easymaker’s Retreat“ und „The Builder’s Sanctuary“ zwei neue Biome, frische Quests und drei harte Bossgegner.

Fixierter Release für PC und XBox
Coatsink und Over The Moon haben den Release von The Last Hero of Nostalgaia fixiert. Das satirische Roguelike erscheint somit am 19. Oktober 2022 auf dem PC (Steam) und für XBox Series X|S und XBox One. Das Spiel kann sowohl alleine als auch im Online-Koop-Modus gespielt werden.
Die namensgebende Spielwelt Nostalgaia, die Welt der Videospiele, zerfällt immer weiter in geheimnisvolle Pixel und verliert zunehmend an Qualität. Mit der schwindenden Beleuchtung und den abnehmenden FPS scheint die Welt dem Untergang geweiht. Als hässlichster, pixeligster Held, der je gespawnt ist, müssen wir den Kampf gegen die Armee seelenlosen Bewohner aufnehmen und nebenbei noch die abfälligen Kommentare des Erzählers, der uns mit Inbrunst verabscheut, anhören.

“The Last Hero of Nostalgaia is very much a love-letter to the Souls series, but it’s still very much a game that I’ve tried to take in its own direction,” said Over the Moon CEO Jon Warner. “When it releases on Xbox and PC on October 19th, players are going to discover a game layered with interesting narrative elements and that plays with the balance between humour and darkness.”
