Team Meat und Thunderful werden Super Meat Boy Forever auch für Android und iOS veröffentlichen. Mobile-Game können ihr virtuelles Todeskonto ab dem 20. April 2023 problemlos erhöhen. Preislich liegt das Spiel bei ungemein attraktiven 99 Cent.
“Super Meat Boy Forever was born out of a desire to make a two button Meat Boy game that was as hard and as rewarding as the original Super Meat Boy. Two buttons makes it a no-brainer for mobile,” said Team Meat co-founder and programmer Tommy Refenes. “With Thunderful’s help we were able to bring the entire game, already on PC and consoles, to mobile without sacrificing anything. It’s the full game for $0.99, no ads, no micro-transactions, just pure Meat Boy joy on a phone. What a time to be alive.”

Umsetzung für XBox und PlayStation erscheint am 16. April
Super Meat Boy Forever kommt nun auch auf die Konsolen von Microsoft und Sony. Bedient werden XBox Series X|S, XBox One, PS4 und PS5. Erscheinen wird das bockschwere Jump ’n Run am 16. April 2021.
“As great as it was for Super Meat Boy to make his return on Switch and the Epic Games Store, no return would be complete without a victory lap on PlayStation and Xbox platforms – which many of you may remember Meat Boy making his console premiere on over a decade ago,” said Team Meat co-founder and programmer Tommy Refenes. “Super Meat Boy Forever isn’t just more of the same though. This is Meat Boy evolved. He now has a completely different moveset, controls, power-ups, and endless level remixes that can be played forever!”

Release für PC und Nintendo Switch
Gestern wurde die Nintendo Switch-Version von Super Meat Boy Forever angekündigt. Sie wird zeitgleich mit der PC-Version am 23. Dezember 2020 erscheinen. Umsetzungen für die Microsoft- und Sony-Konsolen werden im Monat darauf folgen.

Meat Boy deserved more than that. I wanted to rebuild Meat Boy from the ground up, in a way that would offer an entirely new experience that still hits all the same kinetic, addictive notes as its predecessor. I know Super Meat Boy Forever took forever to make but we’re confident that it was worth the wait.”
