Um den Release des „Bend the Roo’les„-DLC’s zu feiern, kann das Hauptspiel von Kao the Kangaroo, aktuell kostenlos heruntergeladen werden. Dazu surft ihr einfach den Epic Games Store an und „kauft“ das Jump and Run. Was euch überhaupt in dem Spiel erwartet, könnt ihr übrigens in unserem Klassik-Test nachlesen. Die Erweiterung selbst fügt dem Spiel eine neue Story-Kampagne hinzu, in der wir gegen den Krabbenkönig antreten. Als Highlight wartet hier ein klassisches 2D-Level auf uns.

Fixierter „Oh! Well“-DLC-Release:
Tate Multimedia wird das „Oh! Well„-DLC für Kao the Kangaroo am 13. Oktober 2022 veröffentlichen. Bedient werden sämtliche Plattformen, auf denen das Jump and Run erschienen ist. Die Erweiterung bring fünf neue Level und fünf unheimliche Skins – passend zur Jahreszeit. Für Neukäufer gibt es außerdem ab sofort das „A Well Good Bundle“. Darin enthalten ist das Hauptspiel und alle bisher veröffentlichten DLCs, inklusive „Oh! Well„.
Roadmap zeigt DLCs und kommende Updates
Tate Multimedia hat seinen Plattformer Kao the Kangaroo offiziell für das Steam Deck verfügbar gemacht. Außerdem wurde eine Roadmap veröffentlicht. Uns erwarten zwei kostenlose DLC’s, zwei Patches und ein kostenpflichtiges DLC.

Fixierter Release
Tate Multimedia hat den Release von Kao the Kangaroo fixiert. Das Comeback startet somit am 27. Mai 2022 für den PC via Steam und die Konsolen XBox Series X|S, XBox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 und PS5.

Anlässlich des Steam Next Fest hat Tate Multimedia eine Demo-Version zu Kao the Kangaroo veröffentlicht. Wer also reinspielen möchte, hat bis zum 28. Februar 2022 Zeit.
“We cannot wait to see players take on the Kao the Kangaroo demo,” says Kaja Borowko, Head of Studio. “The reaction we saw after the last trailer went out has blown us away, and so now seems like the perfect time to let people in on the action ahead of the game’s release later this summer.”

“It’s really exciting to finally be able to say to people that, yes, we will be launching Kao the Kangaroo this summer,” says Kaja Borowko, Head of Studio. “Throughout development, it’s been important to us to make sure Kao’s new adventure both feels like a tribute to his previous outings for existing fans, as well as a fresh, contemporary platformer for newcomers. This is not a sequel, this is a complete reboot, and we can’t wait to see players young and old come together to take on the role of Kao once more this summer.”
